Jaki G.
This statement exemplifies strength, charisma and an amount of motivation and
determination all compiled into this amazing project. Jaki is definitely a
mountain mover. From a very early age Jaki has been initiated in the
well-respected music, dance and theater community. Initially Jaki focused on
a career in dancing and devoted her attention to choreographing and
performing with such names as B.B. King, Della Reese, Rudolph Hawkins, James
Baldwin, and Marcus Belgrave.
Jaki then expanded her scope and continued her training with classical ballet
master Jacob Lascu, where she auditioned and won a full scholarship to Alvin
Aileys American Dance Theater in New York.
After four years of successfully working and performing as a dancer, she began
to focus on developing her vocal and writing skills. Because it came so
naturally, this turned out to be a smooth transition. Jaki & rsquo;s image
and vocal ability was immediately accepted and she began performing with the
musical group M.A.S., which have garnered rave reviews from around the
country.
In 2002, Jaki was introduced to Frankie Fultz, a Detroit producer with a
strong background in house and techno music. After hearing Jaki & rsquo;s
song, & ldquo; The Spirit of Detroit & rdquo;, Frankie immediately began
creating tracks to complement her sound. Frankie & rsquo;s sound and Jaki &
rsquo;s voice meshed perfectly to create an amazing project.
Jaki is a force of skill, talent, class, personality, and sheer down to earth
charm that will enhance any stage or performance space.
She is definitely ready to move mountains.
